Do You Have Bread Today?

I feel empty If I don't have some word from scripture bouncing around in my heart. Every morning I try to grasp some phrase or scripture verse to become my meditation. This is not because of religious duty, but because He is good and better than breakfast. ...the best part of waking up. Every morning I feel the renewed need for His presence. ...a developed appetite for the goodness of God. I want to encourage you today, to begin a habit of taking a psalm or another scripture verse and meditating on it thru out the day. Don't leave home with out some truth bouncing around in your heart! It will change your life, and can serve as a starting place in developing a hunger for God! Here is some encouraging truths regarding this....

Psa. 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.

Psa. 119:99 I have more understanding than all my teachers,
For Your testimonies are my meditation.

Psa. 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.

Josh. 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Phil. 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

The best part of waking up. So true! Good encouragment, to have something to think on each day.
