Without seasons, there would be no rejoicing or celebration. We are not made for constants, but the ebbs and flows of life. I cannot truly be thankful until I've had nothing. The height of my joy is contingent upon the depth of my sorrow. The arrival of spring means nothing to one who has not traversed the winter. .. and so on.

Yet through the cycle of seasons, I am promised hope. A hope constant, that does not move amidst the winds of change. The kind of infectious hope surrounding the news of a new born baby, the "newness of life." For this hope, I am thankful today. - Richy Clark
